Usually, a story involving a prophesy would go something like this: Once upon a time there was a horrible king in a horrible land who wouldn’t go away. One day, an old gypsy farmer had a prophesy: The horrible king would eventually be killed by a good knight with a magic pig who once was an orphaned schoolboy. The knight would rule the throne in a fair and just manner and everyone would live happily ever after.

But DEVIOUS ain’t that kind of story. If instead, I were to tell you DEVIOUS involved prophesies of a different sort - Evil prophesies, along with hired goons, mysteries, nasty parents, mechanical girls, goblins, Mothdevils, and roving eyeballs… Well, I guess that would be a bit closer to the mark. Dark comedy-adventure in the vein of Lemony Snicket, Tim Burton, Douglas Adams, and Evil Genius. Suitable for ages 9 and up.

A competitive tabletop fantasy boardgame which uses an entirely card-based system to represent playing pieces, dice, and even the board itself, TactDecks is like chess — except with nearly unlimited expandability and tactical options! Choose a party of crusaders, witches, archers, and mercenaries, each with their own set of special abilities and skills. Then select walls, iron gates, and trees to create your unique board layout... and begin your epic battle!

TactDecks is set in a unique fantasy setting known as The Land, featuring a classic fantasy world like Middle Earth, Krynn, or Hyboria — invaded by a dying alien race from beyond the stars. With the struggle joined between the Land's forgotten gods and these alien usupers, mankind is caught in the middle, constantly waging war to curry favor with one faction or the other. It is a world of dying magic and decaying technology. Of quests and conflict. This is the world of the TactDecks Fantasy Battle System.

TactDecks is a competitve tactical boardgame for two or more players, currently undergoing a radical visual redesign for mainstream launch in the latter half of 2012. It is a clean medieval battle game which encourages creative thinking, strategy, and reading. Suitable for ages 12 and up.
